Stuffing
From Auntie's Cook Book
Ingredients
- 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 2 red peppers (medium dice)
- 2 green pepper (medium dice)
- 7 stalks celery (small dice)
- 3 medium onions (small dice)
- 5 bags stuffing (mix of regular and cornbread suggested)
- 1 box poultry season
- 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
- 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
- 6 cups of chicken broth (not exact, could be a little more or less)
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Directions
- Bring broth to a simmer in a separate pot
- Melt butter in large pan
- Saute peppers, onion and celery until soft (about 20 minutes)
- Add onion and garlic powder plus 1.5 Tbsp poultry seasoning
- Add breadcrumbs to a large mixing bowl
- Add veggies and mix
- Add broth 1 ladle at a time and mix each time
- Bake uncovered until tops are browned (about 25 minutes)
