Smash Burgers
From Auntie's Cook Book
Ingredients
- 1 lbs 85/15 Ground Beef
- 1 Tbsp 267 Seasoning
- 1 large onion (white, red or yellow)
- Vegetable, canola or avacado oil
Equipment
- Cast Iron Skillet
- Burger Press
- Mandolin
Directions
- Season ground beef
- Slice onion with mandoline as thin as possible, set aside
- Roll beef into plum sized balls
- Heat oil until just smoking
- Place meat ball into pan, place a few slices of onion on top and then press down to flatten the burger
- Cook for 2 min, then flip
- Cook for additional 2-3 min
