Smash Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs 85/15 Ground Beef
  • 1 Tbsp 267 Seasoning
  • 1 large onion (white, red or yellow)
  • Vegetable, canola or avacado oil

Equipment

  • Cast Iron Skillet
  • Burger Press
  • Mandolin

Directions

  1. Season ground beef
  2. Slice onion with mandoline as thin as possible, set aside
  3. Roll beef into plum sized balls
  4. Heat oil until just smoking
  5. Place meat ball into pan, place a few slices of onion on top and then press down to flatten the burger
  6. Cook for 2 min, then flip
  7. Cook for additional 2-3 min
